Trihexagonal weaved pattern - modeling way

I would like to share how I did the weaved pattern, to seek for advice for any better ways, functions that could do the job more easily or different logics that could get model even faster.

In this post, I go up to the grid of points.

My logic is to get a grid layout directly on a torus, then apply "Truchet" to pave with my symmetric adjusted tile on the grid.

The tile has 6 points (sommet). It is hexagonal. 1st point is always at the same location and the sequence of point turns the same direction around the tile.

1st video -> creation of triangular grid of points on a torus

2nd video -> creation of the hexagonal grid + each hexagon's 1st edge at the same location

3rd video -> each hexagon's sequence of edge turns the same way around tile center + group the tiles into complete ring of tiles

Next post will be about the creation of the "adjustable" Truchet hexagonal tile.
