Visual Scripting is definitively one of the most important innovation in CATIA. Every day we discover new use cases that can be addressed with this solution both for Creative Design and Engineering.

Very often we have to compare two versions of the same part and need to quickly identify changes that might have happen on the definition of holes (can be cutouts, holes for electrical cables, fasteners...).

Here just by selecting the two versions of the model (it can be isolated surfaces), it will automatically generate 3D Tags to indicate new/modified/removed holes. The Design Sequence can easily be instantiated and reused similarly to a PowerCopy.

The method is based on detection of Holes Boundaries, identification and comparison of Barycenter, measurement of Perimeters...
