Does anyone know of any possible model 'characteristics' that can contribute to extremely slow project merging?
We have several 2022x model hosted on TWC that are are fairly similar to each other in many regards. However... there is one in particular that is EXTREMELY slow at merging. (It may even be getting hung up permanently. We haven't actually successfully merged it yet.)
We had problems with this model in the past. We thought it was due to its extremely long history with over 1000 commits and all the history that goes with those commits. So... we did what we call a project 'reset' and cleared ALL commit history.
We really thought this was going to solve the problem, but it hasn't. Even with practically no project history this one project is getting getting hung while merging from one branch to another. I am thinking there must be something in the project itself that Cameo has problems with when merging?
This problematic model does have a lot more 'advanced' features such as smart packages with queries and profile customizations. I am getting ready to create a version of the model with these features removed to see if that helps but figured I'd also ask the community if there are any other known contributors to project merging issues other than long commit history which we have already cleared.
Thanks for any ideas!
