Hi, my company uses MagicDraw extensively for requirements management of medical devices. We have setup document generation for all our documents in our design history file and are often trying to improve them.

One thing I've found out is how incredibly hard it is to debug the velocity code because there are no support tools (at least that I know of) to use.

Following the instructions, I was able to install a custom plugin to output debug messages inside MagicDraw. Given how simple this plugin is, I wonder why something like this has not been included directly inside of MagicDraw, and maybe enhanced to show a bit more data?
