Fusion Reactor SysML and 3DCAD Co-Sim - Maintenance of Tokamak Fusion Reactor With the In-Vessel Transporter Robot

In this sample we demonstrate co-simulation between system architecture and requirements in SysML and CATIA 3D CAD in Delmia Virtual Robotics Commissioning application of Tokamak fusion reactor the In-Vessel transporter robot.

This integration is enabled by configurable communication FMU generated by Dymola. This enables fast and efficient co-simulation enabled between one of hundreds of tools / solutions supporting FMI interface.

We are enabling use cases as:

  1. System model demonstration during design review process.
  2. V&V based on requirements, use cases and test cases coming from SysML and 3D data (e.g. collisions) coming from 3D CAD model.

Thanks to support of FMU interface by Catia Magic and Delmia apps, and thanks to communication FMU generation by Dymola capability this integration was created in hours close to minutes.

This demo is created based on existing material for Third annual Digital Engineering Conference where we are delivering mode based design review topic! https://dice.inl.gov/events/ May 20-21, 2025, Idaho Falls, Idaho
