DS on Tag des Systems Engineering (TdSE) 2022

Hello colleagues,

three weeks ago Enagelos KARAGIANNIS (Evangelos.KARAGIANNIS@3ds.com), Kazimieras CEPONIS (Kazimieras.CEPONIS@3ds.com), Darius PETRAUSKAS (Darius.PETRAUSKAS@3ds.com) and I presented DS on the annual "Tag des Systems Engineering (TdSE)" conference in Paderborn, Germany.

In our first session Darius talked about Cyber MagicGrid applied to electrical vehicle systems. He illustrated an end-to-end continuity from stakeholder needs to design and implementation disciplines that illustrates the added value of CATIA Magic and the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and capitalizes systems engineering best practices within the Cyber MagicGrid methodology.

In my presentation, I talked about a concept for an end-to-end development process that provides continuity between the system-level assembly process definition/analysis in CATIA Magic and downstream manufacturing anaysis in Delmia for a human-robot collaboration use case. This leverages the upstream simulation capabilities in Catia Magic to analyze the manufacturing processes at the system level before performing production-specific simulations.  It also gives us the possibility of an automatic model transformation of the assembly processes from SysML to the PPR (Product-Process-Resource Datamodel), without having to re-model in Delmia. This enables the downstream analysis capabilities for a comprehensive validation of the assembly processes in Delmia with respect to production specific aspects. You can learn more about this concept in this post.
