Sometimes you want to hide a Package (or Profile) element in the Containment Tree. The trick is to apply the «auxiliaryResource» stereotype to the element and then mark the treatAsAuxiliaryInOwningProject = true. The element will not be shown if Show Auxiliary Resources is unchecked in the Containment Browser.
