How to retrieve the protocols developed by the user who left the organization?

The protocols within the user’s folder who left the organization can be migrated to the place of your interest in the following way:

Requirements: The user must be part of the ‘Platform/PowerUsers’ group and the user will have the permission for Pipeline Pilot Client Administration. With this permission, the user will have the access to the protocols from all users.

Steps:

Log into the PLP server via PLP Pro Client and you will see the light purple color on the username as seen below (right bottom on the PLP Client) indicating that the user is an Administrator for Pipeline Pilot ProClient.

Right-click on the username and select ‘Enable Administration Mode’ (Deep Purple). Go to the ‘Network’ tab and expand. Then expand the ‘Users’ folder and navigate to the user’s folder who left the organization.

There are multiple options to export the protocols: 1) Export the folder (right-click on the username and select ‘Export Folder’.

2) Expand the user’s folder and select the protocol(s) of your interest and right-click. This will allow to move or export the selected protocol(s). Each protocol is saved as a file and the current version will be exported.

Note: If you would like to retain all the versions of a protocol, then move the files from the user’s folder to the location of your interest and then rebuild the index using ‘dbutil’ for that folder after moving (/XMLDB/Users/UserX). Each version of a protocol is saved as separate file.
