Many text editors and other software tools offer options to "pretty-print" JSON with nice indentation, etc.

If you'd rather get around the copying and pasting involved getting your JSON into a separate tool, I made a little component that will prettify a property containing JSON (creating a new property).  I anticipate that anyone interested in the component will use it in an exploratory manner during protocol authoring, but there is also the option to include the pretty-printed JSON in an HTML or PDF report.

- Created and tested in Pipeline Pilot 2026
- utilizes the Python (on Server) component internally, but no installation of extra Python modules is required.

Attached is an example protocol and a "clean" copy of the component that can be saved for later reuse.
