Working with Academics to End COVID-19

The World Health Organization on Wednesday 11th March declared the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) outbreak a pandemic. The rapid spread of the virus and the growing number of deaths have catalyzed an unprecedented response by the scientific community to determine the virus’s structure and genetic make-up, and accelerate efforts towards vaccines and drug development.

Dassault Systèmes BIOVIA does not conduct research. However, we do develop BIOVIA Discovery Studio, a world-class life science modeling and simulation environment which brings together over 30 years of peer-reviewed research and world-class in silico techniques providing researchers a complete toolset from target identification to lead optimization.

As part of our corporate social responsibility, we have announced on LinkedIn and the BIOVIA blog, a promotion to offer academic research groups involved in SARS-CoV-2 related studies a no-charge 6-month license to BIOVIA Discovery Studio to assist them in their efforts to tackle 2019-nCoV.
