A company based near Troyes is going to start up a "field factory" dedicated to the production in large quantities of surgical masks, FFP2 and gowns for healthcare workers on 12 May at the Parc de la Technopole de l'Aube in Champagne at Rosières-près-Troyes.

The objective of the BioSerenity factory, through Sérénité Protection Santé, is to manufacture "500,000 masks, surgical and FFP2, per day. The 11 production lines are currently being installed and will operate 24/7, in 3x8 during the week and 2x12 at weekends", the company states in a press release. A first team will start production on Tuesday 12 May at the Aube logistics park in Rosières-près-Troyes. Full capacity should be reached by mid-June.
