The COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, geopolitical issues and conflicts, supply chain disruption, weakening business investment, loss in biodiversity are setting the stage for a new world.

Policymakers appear resigned to weaker economic growth in 2023. Such recessions are likely to be short- lived, but they will not be painless. However China re opening is expected to fluidity supply chains , but social inequality will be a growing topic of importance and a fondamental shift is a necessity. Overcoming those challenges requires a holistic approach incorporating the economic & social aspects of the transformation. The energy transition will remain a key element in strategies to overcome the crisis, Europe being first affected.
