Hello All,

Over the last couple of years, I have been a mentor for startups supported by the 3DEXPERIENCELab and today, I am happy to share my experience. Overall, I really enjoy working with the 3DEXPERIENCELab as it helps startups solve new and unique challenges.

As an automotive engineer, I have always liked designing and working with 3D geometry. Now, as a technical specialist in the CATIA Portfolio Management team, I work on our algorithmic and design automation tools. I like working with these advanced tools as they add another dimension to traditional CAD Design. Besides, it provides a great opportunity to collaborate with our development and industry teams, customers and the startups we support.

The mission of the 3DEXPERIENCELab is to support and empower startups that aim to provide disruptive solutions for sustainability, healthcare and engineering. This brings with it new, complex challenges in design, and I thought it would be a great opportunity to contribute to such innovations.

👉 I have supported startups that are trailblazers in the healthcare domain. They provide patient specific surgery planning and treatment services by using are advanced design and simulation to create highly complex digital twins of patient specific anatomy. Through the lab, I support their biomechanics engineers by helping them choose design strategies and automate their workflows using the advanced capabilities of the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.

It is always great to interact with innovative startups, their brilliant founders, designers and engineers and in general the users of our solutions. It helps me understand their needs and constraints so that I can help to better define our next generation products.
