Every year, the Earth yields billions of tons of natural resources and at some point, in the not too distant future, it will run out. That’s why we must think again about what we throw away – seeing not waste, but opportunity.

Did you know we collected the equivalent of 722 Eiffel Towers as Paper-cardboard? Thank this the production of paper and cardboard contains 67% of recycled material.

Finding a new solution to transform our waste into energy is a major challenge that Autonome EnergieSystem  (AES) has tried to address. Have you ever heard of the AES FLUKS? A way to heat and produce electricity by recycling your waste into oil. The oil is used to produce heat and electricity, while the gases are burned for the plant's energy consumption. A solution that is good for the planet but also good for the company. For example, a nursing home would save up to 50% of waste disposal costs, 15% of electricity and 10% of heating costs.

Producing plastic differently is one of the important challenge. What if we told you that PadCare , a startup accelerated by the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab, has developed a solution?  Soon, packaging materials, plastic bricks and RDF pallets will be produced from segregated, sterilized cellulose-plastic. Today following tests, more than 9500 sanitary napkins from 4000 women beneficiaries have been recycled and this has reduced 5000 kg of CO2 emissions. The only Indian startup recommended by The Circulars Accelerator 2022, PadCare, will therefore also play an important role in the coming years, both from an ecological point of view and in terms of improving the support of women.
