The Honorable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, announced the recipients of the smartEarth program, representing a total investment of \\\$8M in 21 Canadian companies, including \\\$350K in Lux Aerobot. This grant will allow, among other things, Lux Aerobot to continue its development work, in collaboration with INO, of a forest fire management system compatible with all platforms and according to the requirements of SOPFEU and Environment and Natural Resources in Canada. The latter will allow near real-time processing to provide high-resolution thermal mapping of active forest fires within 15 minutes of image acquisition.
