Version 0.1.4.49 available for download here
With a recent Cloud upgrade to level 3DEXPERIENCE R2020x FD01, the Cloud Eligibility Checker Tool has been aligned to integrate a couple of changes, enhancements and also a few bug fixes.
The details of the same are enlisted in here:
“Previous Installation” Check as a recommendation:
As mentioned in the Upgrade Guide, it’s recommended to remove all legacy levels installed on your machine, and cleanup your system as you switch to the new 3DEXPERIENCE release level.
Owing to this statement, the Previous Installation check was removed from the list of mandatory checks and made as a recommendation. Thus the status of this check no longer affects the global status.
If previous level installation is present on client machine, a warning will be shown in the status column recommending the user to remove this installation in case an issue is observed.
“JAVA Version” Check integrated in PLM Collaboration Services:
As per Program Directories JAVA is required just for specific apps, and these apps are a part of PLM Collaboration Services. Thus currently, the JAVA Version check has been removed from the list of checks applicable for Cloud and is integrated with the checks for PLM Collaboration Services.
Provision to key in specific user location:
Network Performance is calculated on the basis of user location. It is quite possible that a few cloud users located close to a particular data-center, maybe connected to an altogether different data-center. In such cases, the bandwidth and latency calculation was improper.
As an enhancement, a command line option “-u” has been introduced so as to facilitate users to select the appropriate location. This command line option equips users with a drop down to select the specific location and thus calculates network performance on basis of this location.
Data-center Changes:
The data-center for Hong Kong was removed and all users connected to this data center were moved to central China. This change was taken into account in the Cloud Eligibility Checker Tool
Bug Fixes:
In addition to these changes the tool also underwent several other bug fixes.
- To begin with, users working with Collaboration for Microsoft faced issues during the automatic launch of html report in browser. The current version of application addresses this issue.
- Secondly, Bandwidth and Latency values were shown negative, now this issue has been resolved. The Bandwidth and Latency computation underwent changes to fix issues encountered in Network Performance check.
- JAVA Check was improvised to consider both formats so as to avert exception.
