Installing the new version is a mandatory step for all Desktop Apps users to keep working after this upgrade completion.
Along with the Apps upgrade, a new version of the 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher will be made available.

Please note that the Java Runtime prerequisite, required by some 3DEXPERIENCE Connector Apps (list available in the Program Directory), will evolve as follows :
IBM Semeru Runtime Open Edition for Java 21.0.4 (JDK) will be a Validated Platform.
IBM Semeru Runtime Open Edition for Java 21.0.x (JDK) with x >4 will be a Compatible Platform.
Oracle JDK 21.0.x with x>=4, will be a Compatible Platform.
