Hi,
I am trying to find a way to call EKL libraries from Python.
I am using the 3DEXPERIENCE ENGINEER for Students license, running R2026x, patch 0.19.
According to the 3DX Help documentation, EKL libraries should be exposed either through the Local Resource Table or by using the Data Setup app.
First approach: Local Resource Table
When I follow the first approach
(Tools → Resource Table → Add new resource item → Resource type: Know How Library),
I am required to assign a resource to the record.
The UI suggests finding these libraries using the search function. However, when I try search terms such as CAAKnowledgeExpert or 3DPart, I get no results. It is possible that I am using incorrect search terms. If you know which keywords should be used to locate EKL libraries here, I would greatly appreciate your guidance.
Second approach: Data Setup app
The second approach also does not seem to work. The Data Setup app is visible in the Compass and appears to be included in the 3DEXPERIENCE ENGINEER for Students role.
However, when I attempt to launch the app, I receive the following message:
Is the Data Setup app actually available with the Student license, or is this behavior a known bug?
Best regards,
Hubert 🙂
