We are happy to share our project named "SOLAR ASSISTED SMART HAT" - AN INTELLIGENT DEVICE FOR PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED PEOPLE.

Deaf-blindness is a rare condition in which the individual has concomitant visual and auditory sensory impairments (Congenitally or Adventitiously deaf-blind),which can manifest in different levels causing problems. To overcome these hurdles we present our design Solar Assisted SMART HAT (Multidisciplinary project: Mechanical & Electrical) - As An Intelligent Device For Physically Challenged People for the people (deaf-blind) designed with the help of 3D Experience, CATIA and Solid Works. It is an innovative technology to assist the Deaf-blind people, and to help them migrate from one place to another. This is designed in the form of a hat which make it easier to wear and to detect the obstacle in front of them and to get a clear signal to be conscious enough. It typically uses the ultrasonic sensor to detect and send the signals to the microcontroller and the output signals directed and converted to sound signals to get vibrations. It guides them to know the imprecise location. It also consists of an alarming module to notify the guardian if the person is at an emergency situation or in an unknown location. These microcontrollers are power-driven by batteries which are charged using solar cells in order to extend the usage of this device in day-to-day life. It will work as a complete guide and user friendly device for the physically-challenged people around the world.

-Self designed shape of Ultrasonic Sensor.
-Uniquely designed Vibrator with necessary protective layer beneath.
-Model 1 : Deaf and Blind challenged ; Model 2 : Blind challenged with speakers for assistance.
-Ergonomic Design as per human standard comfort.
This hat has eye-shaped glass which is equipped with an ultrasonic sensor. The sensors are available even on the sides . Flexible solar cells are fixed at the top of the hat that continuously powers the battery which is equipped behind . There is a layer which separates solar cells from the person to provide a comfortable zone in between. Vibration sensors are fixed around the ends of the HAT which provides mild vibration to the person during the detection of the obstacle.
