Hello All,

I was wondering how to separate entities in CATIA? I am trying to turn a 2D drawing into a solid "stepped" model using the Pad function, but when I use the Pad function it selects every entity or "shape/rectangle" instead of allowing me to highlight what I want to extrude, which leaves it "cut out" instead of extruded on each plane in Z. I wonder if this is because I used constraints to draw the 2D drawing? I am still very new to CATIA and how to draw with constraints. Any information about this would help. Does anyone know of any tutorials on this subject?

Also, I have tried "Sharing" my work with the "Community" to try to get some input but when I go to the Share arrow on the top right the options to share with the "collaborative space", "community" and "3DDrive" are greyed out and inaccessible. Are these "Share" options only allowed in certain parts of the 3dx software? Is the CATIA 3dx Drive or "Vault" different from the 3dswym community "Drive" under the "Content" icon?

In the mean time, I have attached screenshots of the 2D drawing I have completed with constraints along with what happens when I try to use the Pad function. Again, any info on the Pad function or creating solids from 2D drawings would help tremendously. Thanks in advance for anyone with any knowledge on this subject.
