The project has been developed as my final year project. The purpose of this project has been to combine my educational knowledge in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design and 3dexperience . The 3DEXPERIENCE platform is a collaborative environment that empowers businesses and people to innovate in entirely new ways and create products and services using virtual experiences. It provides a real-time view of business activity and ecosystem, connecting people, ideas, and data .
Innovation Originality and creativity of the Project:
The main innovation of the project is rear wheel streeingThe chassis or frame is the most important structural part of the Half Bike as the front assembly, streering assembly and rear assembly. There is a vast difference between a chassis of a Robust Half Bike and a normal bicycle .

Team work: Humor! We laugh and laugh a lot. We laugh at ourselves, at each other; we share laughter as a team. This allows the trust to continue to build and become even stronger. When you laugh together, you communicate better. You help hold each other up if we hit a bump which in turn, continues to build the intimacy in the team dynamics. We’ve learned not to take everything so seriously by having laughed and shared our humor; it helps when it is time to be serious and we focus on the situation at hand.
We may seem to have all the right people in place but we also have one vital, key role, which is my mentor. Our mentor is amazing and sets the example of how to balance all the personalities we have as a team. Not once have I ever felt that my back wasn’t covered. Our mentor facilitates us so that we work very seamlessly together. Because of our leadership, we have learned to anticipate the needs of others on the team. We’ve also been allowed to try new things and even through failure we aren’t criticized for trying.
Time spent on the project: approximately 6 months
Problem Description:
In civilized world nowadays we can’t see a road without any bikes but in turn, people are forgetting that it causes pollution and emissions which affects ozone layer and causes several unwanted effects on both living and non- living organisms. Increase in number of vehicles also produces traffic jam and also occupies a huge chunk of space in roads which reduces the size of road that leads to more no of accident which is fatal sometime. The vehicle nowadays has weight which is considerably increased from its predecessor it’s also reduces its portability and it becomes difficult for aged people to drive and park vehicle. There is hike in fossil fuel prices often, which affects middle class people. They need alternate source of power which comes in a very low price that runs in electricity or battery. Since ordinary vehicles occupy more space they cannot be parked inside the residence or office which makes prone them to weather conditions and leads to high maintenance cost. One of the other problems faced by vehicle lovers is that they park the vehicle outside the residence which doesn’t give vehicle safety.
Problem solving :
Foldable half bike with reduced weight when compared to other vehicles which increase its portability that can be taken from one place to other place easily without fatigue. By using simple mechanism like three and four bar mechanism the folding methods can be simplified very easily reducing the complication in front of the others. Since these type of vehicles occupy less space it can be taken easily in to residence and office parking area and can be carried even in to the buses and trains which reduces the chance of theft. These vehicles have only minimum chance to expose to harsh weather conditions.
Sustainability of the project:
To provide great exercise, fun ride, light weight, compact, eco-friendly, Low cost and reliable vehicle.
It is a gym on wheels. You do sports in a fun way and burning calories without endangering your joints.
Using this half bike is good for heart .it will make stress free.
Design & development of a Half Bike.
Use of 3D Experience Platform of Dassault Systemes for Design, Analysis, Optimization and development of a Product.

Product Specification:
Material : Mild steel
Overall dimension: 110 x 100 x 34 mm
Weight of the half bike:15kgs
Load test: By using Ansys software Load test conducted for this work by applying Uniform Distributed Load (UDL). The Maximum Load withstand was found to be 100.19 kg (982.86 N). The front wheel motor and rear wheel is fixed on it for the load distribution. The material selected is Mild Steel.
Deformation test: The deformation test conducted for this work based on the result of load test. With the application of maximum Load 100.19 kg (982.86 N) the deformation found was 0.21916max.

I used an end-to-end solution of 3D Experience Platform of Dassault Systemes at each stage of product development for reaching the objective with more innovation in digital space. Through the course of product development I learnt the vast range of softwares that Dassault Systemes offers to its customers which helps in manufacturing an optimised product.
3D Experience Platform of Dassault Systemes has given me a great opportunity for enhancing my skill-set and has helped me to put into practice my approach of ‘Learning By Doing’.
I look forward to funding for manufacturing of Physical Prototype, Certification and further development of the product as preliminary steps for a start-up.
