Automatic water filtration system for marine aquaculture
Hello everyone,
We the students of Pune Vidyarthi Griha’s College of Engineering and Technology, Pune - are extremely happy to tell you regarding our remote internship program by Dassault Systémes on the project named, “Automatic water filtration system for marine aquaculture”. We are working on many aspects of the project such as Designing, Cost analysis, Simulation, and Validation under the guidance of our esteemed HOD, Dr. S.V.Gawali, and Prof. V.S.Chavan. Mr. Amol Khanapurkar from Dassault Systémes has been guiding us and helping us in many aspects of this project. Because of some excellent insights provided by him we have been able to continue this project.
We began with the basic concepts on 11 of Jan 2021. Then we brainstormed a lot to develop a basic flow of the filtration system. On 28th February we conveyed our basic flow analysis and components of the system to our industry mentor Mr. Milind Kulkarni. Then on 23rd April, we completed the test cad model on the 3DExperience platform. And now we are continuing the journey with the final cad model and prototype.
Currently, we are working on the small-scale prototype of the whole system which consists of a fish tank followed by mechanical and biological filtration. Then the water passes through a degassing unit and UV filter along with temperature control and pH control unit and in turn, it gets recirculated. We learned many applications developed by Dassault Systémes such as Part Design, Assembly Design in CATIA, Fluid Model Creation, Fluid Scenario Creation, Linear Structural Validation in SIMULIA, Project Planning in ENOVIA. The applications really helped us to design, create and simulate the models.
We are extremely thankful to Dassault Systémes and Mr. Hemant Gadgil Sir and Mr. Amol Khanpurakar Sir @AK to allow us to work on this exciting project and this prestigious platform.
