Solar dryer is a renewable energy solution that is used to dry fruits and vegetables such as tomato, pepper,  apples, vegetables and many others so they can be preserved for a long time. Globally and primarily in Africa, there is a lot of fruit and vegetable wastage because there is a shortage of preservation means. The solar sryer solves this problem by drying perishable fruits and vegetables. It works by using  solar concentrator (dark-glazed glass) which concentrates the heat radiated by the sun on the dryer thereby heating up the system speedily to dry the vegetables in hours. It also has a solar panel which powers a fan that regulates the temperature and circulates the air in the dryer
