Humanoid robot has a wide range of applications. It can be used for medical research purpose for building various types of prosthesis and also studying various human joints and motions. It also has applications in fields like disasters management, mine working, human assistant in various professions and also as emotional support. In this project, we planed to design and build a low-cost humanoid robot which will be able to perform basic human movements like walking, self-balancing, pick and dropping. We designed parts using SolidWorks and 3DEXPERIENCE platform. After designing joints and various parts, we carried out simulations and analysis using SIMULIA. Manufacturing of the robot was done using 3D printing technology. Assembling the parts along with all electronic components was completed this help to detect and pick objects, avoid obstacles and communicate with people. At the end of the project we had 19 DOF’s humanoid robot designed with smooth and dexterous motions. This humanoid have an ability to sense its environment and interact with it. It will be useful in various applications.

It took us a total of 1.5 Years to complete this project from scratch. Thanks to the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform that despite Pandemic we were able to collaborate and monitor the tasks and the activities of our project smoothly.
