Hello Everyone!
Our next step was to become acquainted with the 3D Experience platform before commencing the actual project. For this, we referred to numerous courses accessible in the 3D Experience Edu space. Learn 3D Experience and Formula Student Electric Learning Experience were the two main courses that included all of the necessary elements we required. We studied 3D design in the Learn 3D Experience course and designed a piston and brake disc for practice. In addition, the course covered xDesign, collaborative design, system engineering, advanced simulation, and manufacturing.
Later, as guided in the course, we established our project and team, as well as a collaborative space with other team members working on the project. We also learned about team project planning, data storage and administration, and leveraging data and knowledge that was already available. Using this knowledge, we set up our project schedule using the ENOVIA Project Planning tool. Other important topics covered in the Formula Student Electric Learning Experience included lightweight chassis, physics simulation, body design and analysis, collaborative review, car systems dynamics, CFD analysis, and so on.
After completing the courses, we discovered the benefits of 3DExperience and how it is the one-stop solution to all of our design challenges. It provides all of the tools required in one spot, from creating a collaborative space and planning a project through designing and analyzing the project. We may also communicate with our peers and mentors right on the platform. We are also provided with a student community where we can ask questions and get our work reviewed by professionals. Furthermore, any data created or uploaded is stored in the cloud, which is a really useful feature.
