Newton's cradle

Newton's cradle is a classic desk toy that consists of a row of identical metal balls suspended from a frame. When one ball at the end is lifted and released to strike the others, the force is transferred through the line and the ball at the opposite end swings out with the same speed and momentum as the original ball, while the intermediate balls remain relatively motionless due to conservation of momentum and energy. The device is named after Sir Isaac Newton, who first described the principle of the conservation of momentum in his laws of motion. It is often used to demonstrate this principle in physics classes and as a symbol of balance and equilibrium in various fields.
