3DEXPERIENCE Structural Designer - Professional
This certification delivers a Digital Badge, shareable on social media.
It is a proctored certification, delivered by our Certification Center network accredited for 3DEXPERIENCE. Candidates will have to contact a Certification Center to go and take the certification physically. This post details the process.
Using this link to our Certification Centers, you will be able to filter on Public centers that are run by our Education Partners and open to anybody.
Private centers are Academic Certification Centers, only open to the school or university's students. You should also ask your professor whether your university or school has a Dassault Systèmes Academic Certification Center where you can take the exams. If not, you will have to contact a Public center.
The exam leading to this certification has a combination of hands-on challenges and multiple-choice questions to assess the understanding of performing simulations in the context of a collaborative design environment including defining structural models, prescribing structural scenarios, and reviewing simulation results.
This certification assesses knowledge and skills with performing linear structural analyses in a collaborative design environment after initial training and a minimum of three months of regular practice using SIMULIA Structural Engineer.
Skills tested:
- Best practices required to perform simulation in a collaborative enterprise including assigning materials, using abstraction shapes, and creating derived representations
- Defining material properties for simulation domains
- Ability to select the correct procedures e.g. static perturbation, natural frequency, buckling, harmonic, modal dynamic
- Ability to define structural models including geometry preparation, meshing, assigning section properties, and coupling constraints
- Ability to define structural scenarios including defining procedures, specifying output, and applying loads and restraints using publications and groups
- Ability to extract review and interpret simulation results
