Exactly one week ago, I led my team, Team Rock, in a local school competition called the MESA CAD Challenge—and guess what? We took first place! Our submission began as a conceptual design, where we used sketched pictures to trace all the intricate geometry for precise replication.

The design phase started with a model of the SANY SET150S dump truck, which we enhanced for operator comfort by adding a cushioned sleeping area and an LCD TV to make long workdays more enjoyable.

The engineering behind our concept involves a motion study in which we applied gravity as the sole boundary condition for contacts across the entire model. The results are shown below.
