About 2 million people get a coronary artery stent every year. Rapid advances in stent design have been possible, in part, due to simulation becoming an integral part of the design cycle. The next step is to simulate the artery itself to allow for in silico testing of the simulated stent. 

In this demo example, along with the stent model, the artery is also created to mimic a human artery blocked with plaque deposition.
