📢 If you want to start with the basic Structural simulation on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform then this post is for you.
In this video basics of 'Linear Structural Validation' app is explained.
If you are a designer and want to see how your designed component will behave under various loads and see if your component is safe or not then you can lean and try the simulation within few minutes.
📢 Please note: This is just a basic simulation, we will be sharing detailed post about each topic in future.
Steps Followed
Please Note: The model is already designed in the Part Design App.
1. Switch to the Linear Structural Validation app through the compass.
2. Select the analysis type as "Structural"
3. Open Assistant panel.
4. In setup, mesh the model by defining element type and size.
- A mesh is an alternative representation of a 1D, 2D, or 3D geometry. A finite element model (FEM) representation is composed of one or more meshes.
- Here the element size is 6mm.
5. Assign material properties to the model.
- Here the material is Aluminium 6061.
6. Provide Restraints-
| 7. Apply Loads-
|
8. Simulate the setup and you can see the results.
- You can review and analyze your results in various ways after the simulation is complete.
- It will display the result and you can choose the plots from the list.
