Drop Test of Christmas Gift Box having Ball in it using Mechanical Scenario Creation:

In this simulation, I have performed the transient simulation for the drop test of Christmas gift box having ball in it.

The transient simulation analysis step is performed using the Mechanical scenario creation app.

The steps are as follows:

1. Design of box, lid, ball.

2. Meshing of parts

3. Creation of a solid section

4. Allocation of materials

5. Defining initial conditions

6. Application of loads, contact properties, Constraints

6. Explicit analysis step creation

7. Exploring the results 

Important Loading conditions:

For drop test we have to select gravity in the Loads and check the direction and magnitude.
