Recently we applied to receive sponsorship of 3DEXPERIENCE Platform Licenses to design our car and our team received the same, thanks to the 3DEXPERIENCE Edu team.
We would like to share our Detailed Experience related to what hardware worked with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform
- Normally we have seen that 8 GB RAM is required. On some computers, we were able to install and Launch the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, but the performance was not acceptable. If you have more RAM, it can be always better to future-proof your computer. (Guys you will be lucky if you can afford to buy 16 GM RAM Laptop)
- Dedicated Graphic Card is definitely needed. We observed that the graphic cards with 4GB dedicated on card space are something that worked fine. Computers with 2GB of space on the Graphic card did not work.
- All the computers that worked with good performance had NVIDIA Graphic cards. (Normally the gaming laptop that our students bought had NVIDIA cards)
- On several computers which has NVIDIA Graphic card, we had to downgrade the game driver. We the latest driver we were encountering a software crash. We downgraded from 461.92 to 452.05

While testing we have used 2 test cases. In the first test case, we opened a small file and in the second test case, we opened a relatively larger assembly.

Team Kratos Racing is 5 times National Champion Formula Student Team of Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, Pune. We participated in many National Level Competitions like SAE SUPRA and Formula Bharat held at Buddh International Circuit, Delhi, and Kari motor speedway, Coimbatore respectively. We first took part in 2015, since then up to 2018 we designed and manufactured 4 combustion vehicles and in 2019 we successfully manufactured our first electric vehicle. We are the only team in India that has been able to complete all dynamic events in the electric category at Formula Bharat. We hold the record for the highest points finish in entire formula student history worldwide of 943/1000. Also in 2020, we became the first team in India to successfully design and manufacture a full Carbon Fiber Monocoque Chassis.
