To showcase the power of CATIA Kinematics and Dynamics using the Mechanical Systems Design, Mechanical Systems Experience Apps, I have designed a Purely Mechanical Governor, which works based on Friction to control speed using centrifugal force.

Mechanical Systems Design app is available with Mechanical Designer (MDG) Role included in 3DEXPERIENCE Engineer Pack (U2R) and Engineering Expert Pack (U2D).
Mechanical Systems Experience app is available with Mechanical Motion Designer (MMO) Role included in Systems Engineer Pack (U2S). 

Although such a governor would "wear out" because of continuous friction, and generate a lot of heat, its a good example to test how a governor behaves. In a real life example, the moving parts could be used to control input (Pneumatic, electrical or fuel/throttle etc) to the prime mover to control speed, instead of generating friction.
