We’re establishing a consistent naming convention that includes both a part name (e.g., ASM-REAR QUARTERS-LH) and an autogenerated part code (e.g., SR8-BDW-0001). While we’ve been able to use the Enterprise Identification Number tool to generate sequential numbering, we’re running into issues integrating a few additional requirements:
- The ability to select the 3-letter group code from a dropdown (based on part category).
- Automatic designation of odd numbers for left-hand (LH) parts and even numbers for right-hand (RH) parts.
At the moment, this functionality isn’t supported by our current setup. If you have any recommendations or workarounds, how to go about these.
