Hello 3DEXPERIENCE Edu Community,
Today, I would like to introduce the 6 DoF (Degree of Freedom) Stewart Platform that I designed and rendered using SolidWorks, SolidWorks Motion, and SolidWorks Visualize, and highlight the features that SolidWorks provided throughout this detailed video.
Designed the 6 DoF Stewart Platform primarily to perform Vibration Tests for Satellites. However, to expand its adaptability to other markets, also optimized and developed the platform as a Flight/Driving Simulator and as an Industrial Robotics Delta Robot.
During this process, with the SolidWorks Motion Animation module, successfully simulated all movements of a six-axis robot, including:
- X-axis translation
- Y-axis translation
- Z-axis translation
- Yaw rotation
- Pitch rotation
- Roll rotation
In addition, with the Oscillation motion embedded in the Linear Motor feature of SolidWorks, were able to successfully simulate the:
- Vibration motion
For the final stage, to realistically visualize material appearances, achieved nearly indistinguishable-from-reality renderings using SolidWorks Visualize.
Finally, by leveraging the Show WireFrame option within the program, effectively showcased the internal structure of the system, successfully conveying its complexity.
