In the first part of this project, I shared how the SAE TIFAN Automatic Multi Vegetable Transplanter was taken from competition requirements to a structured digital product definition.
The next step was turning that definition into an engineering-ready product.
Using CATIA on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, I developed the machine from individual components to the complete assembly, working through the mechanisms, interfaces and overall product architecture.
But designing the product was only one part of the process.
🔗 Connecting the engineering workflow
Once the digital design was developed, SIMULIA was used to virtually evaluate the design and understand its behavior under the required loading conditions.
This created an iterative workflow:
Design → Simulate → Evaluate → Improve
At the same time, ENOVIA provided the foundation for managing the product data and maintaining the digital product structure throughout the development process.
Finally, Creative Experience helped transform the engineering model into realistic visualizations, making the final product easier to communicate and understand.
🌐 One product. One connected environment.
ENOVIA — Manage the product
CATIA — Design the product
SIMULIA — Validate the product
Creative Experience — Visualize the product
What I found most interesting was how these experiences could contribute to different stages of the same product-development process, rather than functioning as isolated tools.
The Automatic Vegetable Transplanter became more than just a CAD model.
It became a digital product definition that could be designed, managed, simulated and visualized within the 3DEXPERIENCE environment.
This project gave me a practical perspective on how connected digital engineering can support the journey from a competition requirement to a more complete product development workflow.
🚀 Design. Manage. Simulate. Visualize. Develop.
