Hello everyone, time for a March update.
The design of the rocket has been completed. All that's left is manufacturing such as waterjet cutting the fiberglass fins, centering rings, bulkplates, 3D printing the avionics bay sleds, and assembling.
Below are CAD models how I used 3Dexperience CATIA to design and plan the layout of the avionics bay which there will be 2 for this dual stage rocket. In the nose cone shown below, there are 5 devices, along with batteries and switches for each of them. There are 2 barometric altimeters to deploy the parachutes (+backup) and ignite the 2nd stage motor, a GPS for tracking, and 2 cameras.
This is the Interstage coupler. It will contain the 2 altimeters, and GPS required for deploying the booster parachutes and aid in tracking. The sleds and layout design are nearly identical to the 2nd stage avionics for simplicity.
Stay tuned for more updates !
