3D_Atmos: Dual-Stage Rocket Project Update #2

Hey everyone, here's another update for the dual-stage rocket project I'm working on. As you may know, last month I posted an update on using 3Dexperience to design a tooling jig to construct the Carbon Fiber airframe.

To help speed up the project, I'm designing the rest of the rocket simultaneously. The CAD model created in 3Dexperience CATIA will aid in designing internal components such as the avionics layout (flight computers, GPS, cameras, etc.) and retainer that will transmit the load from the rocket motor to the rest of the airframe.

Aside from that, more analysis is being done to determine when the 2nd stage should ignite its motor to ensure a high final altitude (apogee). Right now, it's projected to fly no higher than 23,000 feet, though that will likely change as the design progresses with more detailed weight updates.

I'm also using the ENOVIA - Project Planning app to keep track of my weekly tasks to ensure I can launch this by April

Stay tuned on my future update as I finalize the design and start to manufacture more components!
