I hope someone can help. I did call the solidworks phone number, but you cant talk with a human being. They just point me here. so...

1. The student whom I purchased a copy of the Student Edition, says they cant do 3D modeling with the student edition. How do I upgrade. Is this information accurate. 

2. The 17 year old student is getting multiple calls from VARs on a daily basis who are then trying to have him upgrade his licence. The VARs are asking for \\\$400 USD or more. It freaks the student out. Not good as he is a kid. Since Solidworks doesnt take phone calls, who can I talk to stop this behaviour.
