Exploring the Brake System for Baja Vehicles: Optimal Pedal Design with Enhanced Efficiency and Durability
Introducing: In the world of all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), safety and performance are of paramount importance. To address the need for improved braking control, we present a breakthrough in brake pedal design – the Brake Pedal with a 3:1 ratio. This innovative pedal not only multiplies the driver's braking effort by three times, but it also surpasses the required braking torque.
The Brake Pedal is Designed for a 3:1 Ratio, For the application of BAJA ATV Pedal ratio Multiplies Driver Effort by 3 times and which Designed to Exceeds Required Braking torque,
Pedal Material is Al6061-T6
Topology Optimization: To reduces the excess weight of Pedal.
We analyzed the model with Boundary Condition of 500N and fixed at Piot point and we got a Factor of Safety of 1.8, So this pedal is efficient to withstand a Driver load of 500N with Aluminum 6061 material, we conducted Topology Optimization and reduced 45% of the weight.
Final 3D Model After Implementing Analysis and Topology Optimization.
Structural Analysis: Unveiling Total Deformation and Von Mises Stress of the Pedal
Our team embarked on an extensive analysis, utilizing advanced engineering techniques, to develop a brake pedal that exceeds industry standards. The design was subjected to rigorous testing and simulation, considering various factors such as boundary conditions and fixed points. Applying a boundary condition of 500N and fixing it at the pivot point,
we achieved an impressive Factor of Safety of 1.165.
This remarkable result ensures that the pedal efficiently withstands a driver load of up to 500N, enhancing overall durability and reliability.
the Upcoming post will be on Design and analyzing Customized Brake Caliper.
