❓ How can we help startups showcase their products to their audiences?
The 3DEXPERIENCE Lab helps startups in various ways, notably in creating content for marketing and communication. Startups need effective tools to convey their purpose and demonstrate their products in real-life conditions to their audiences.
With 3DEXCITE tools, it is possible to create real-time 3D interactive experiences that uniquely showcase how systems operate in contextual environments. They allow users to explore and understand the product's story and mechanisms, while also providing a powerful tool for startups to pitch their projects.
This is what we did for the startup Clean Sea Solutions, accelerated by the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab since 2021. We developed a Web experience to showcase their products while simultaneously demonstrating how the platform's power can be leveraged to create immersive and interactive 3D worlds.
🌊Clean Sea Solutions
Clean Sea Solutions is a Norwegian startup founded in 2017 with the mission of developing commercially and environmentally sustainable tech solutions to reduce and prevent the inflow of marine plastic waste in waterfront areas. Their innovation, the Aquapod, is a waste collector that sits under a jetty and attracts nearby trash by creating a constant flow of water through the collection chamber, taking advantage of water level disparity. Additionally, they developed the Aquadrone, an autonomous Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) equipped with a modular attachment and that uses computer vision and LIDAR technology to target and collect trash in large marinas, even in hard-to-reach spots.
💻Desktop and Web Experience
After discussing with the startup, a desktop and web-compatible experience seemed to be the best format to meet their communication needs. The experience can be integrated directly into their website and also be played on touch screens during pitches. This would allow to run the experience on any device without requiring a powerful hardware configuration.
It was implemented on Creative Experience after designing a storyboard on 3DWhiteboard, and by using the 3D model of the Aquapod and the Aquadrone made with Solidworks Connected by the startup.
The experience tells the story of both products, presenting how each of them operates individually and how they integrate together through a step-by-step interactive scenario. The Aquadrone was brought to life in Creative Experience with animations showing how the modular attachment works to efficiently capture and drive waste to the Aquapod. The experience also includes some visualizations of the software technologies behind the Aquadrone to better understand how it works.
