We are still looking to optimize print time and other design parameters such as material, assembly components, safety, sterilization, protection to the health care professional. Last night Jon started with the Sweden Frame, added a small head band for comfort and increased the lip 1 cm for the shield material to not touch your nose.
Update: Check out Suchit's post for Jon's latest design
There have been many new updates to Face Shields.
The current frame prints in about 1/2 the time than the Budman design - but less protection over the forehead. The DTM frame has the most protection but more time to 3DPrint.
Assembly components are now on a critical path in my area. There is wait time on large rubber bands, elastic, Velcro, film for the shield.
Maybe there is another industry that already has a close design for face protection in their warehouses or stock rooms? For example semiconductor clean rooms, logging/tree cleanup, utility workers. We need volume - not just for health care workers but also police, fire, emt's, grocery store, pharmacy workers.
