SOLIDWORKS Simulation Designer, SOLIDWORKS Simulation Engineer, and SOLIDWORKS Simulation Analyst - R2026x FD02

The following enhancements apply to SOLIDWORKS Simulation Designer, SOLIDWORKS Simulation Engineer, and SOLIDWORKS Simulation Analyst.

User Experience

Selection Sets

Speed up the definition of operating conditions by saving and reusing selections of multiple faces, including the rapid selection of all faces on partitioned geometry. Eliminate repetitive manual selection when applying the same geometric supports across multiple load cases or studies.

Results

Results Communication and Collaboration Part-Based Rendering Settings

Collaboration and communication is enhanced with part-based rendering. Create high-quality visualizations of results with the new part-based rendering set in Physics Results Explorer. Control precisely how individual parts are displayed, without needing to re-run simulations, enabling teams to see results in the context of an assembly. This type of display enables designers, engineers, and managers see the impact of design changes and operational conditions clearly before committing to manufacture.

Results Exploration and Collaboration

Visualize angular data more clearly with new 2D plotting capabilities that let you switch rapidly between Cartesian and polar views. Enhanced curve selection makes it easier to navigate and compare datasets with a large number of plots, delivering richer, more intuitive results review.

Meshing

Solid Rod Meshing from 3D Part

Quickly generate high-fidelity solid rod meshes directly from a 3D part with an automated procedure that extracts the neutral fiber, creates the mesh, and defines section properties. This eliminates an involved manual setup and reduces the time needed to prepare rod structures for simulation.

Hole-Aligned Mesh Optimization

Optimize mesh orientation around holes by aligning patterns through constrained node movement along the circular boundary.

Loading

High-Volume Loading Feature Creation

The simulation of standard hydrodynamic or aerodynamic loads require the application of large numbers of loading features and load cases efficiently to represent operating conditions. The new workflow for multiple point load case definition reduces setup time and maintains performance when working with the high volumes of load data typical in aerospace structural analysis.
