Session Abstract

The Moo-tivator 2.0, a crowd-management gate that guides cows to the milking parlor, introduced more complex motion dynamics, unique behaviors, and new structural challenges. Instead of costly prototypes, we turned to MODSIM: unified MODeling and SIMulation. Using SOLIDWORKS, 3D Motion Creator (xMotion), and the Structural Engineer Role on the cloud-based 3DEXPERIENCE platform, we built a seamless workflow to analyze motion, forces, and structural integrity early in the design process. This approach validated performance, revealed weak points, and guided improvements without extensive testing.
