Designing with AI isn’t just about software; it’s about physically integrating compute modules, cameras, and sensors into reliable hardware. In this session, we’ll share how our team designed an autonomous excavation rover in SOLIDWORKS with Edge AI embedded from the start. Attendees will learn practical workflows for modeling compute boards (NVIDIA Jetson), designing sensor enclosures, routing cabling, and validating housings with FEA for vibration and thermal performance. We’ll cover design-for-print strategies to minimize failed prototypes and highlight how early digital integration can avoid costly rework at the prototype stage. Whether you’re building robots, drones, or industrial automation, you’ll leave with concrete techniques for embedding AI hardware inside your CAD assemblies and turning them into functional, test-ready systems.
