Learn the Basics of SOLIDWORKS Design
This video series, "Beginner's Guide to SOLIDWORKS Design," is a comprehensive tutorial that walks you through the fundamental steps of creating a 3D model, from a single part to a full assembly.
Introduction to the Video Series:
Even if you are using SOLIDWORKS locally and not connected to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, this video series is a great starting point for your SOLIDWORKS learning journey.
The video playlist covers a progressive set of skills, starting with basic part creation using sketches and the Extruded Boss/Base feature. They then move on to more advanced modeling techniques such as removing material with Cut Extrude, adding details with Mirror and Fillet, and duplicating features with a Linear Pattern. The series culminates in teaching how to combine multiple parts into a complete assembly, using Mates to define how the components interact with each other. It also provides guidance on using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform for saving and managing file revisions.
