🧑‍🏫Role of a mentor in AAKRUTI Innovation Competition

Team Mentor’s Responsibilities

As a Mentor, you play a vital role in guiding and supporting your student team throughout the AAKRUTI journey. Here’s what you’ll be responsible for:

  • Guide the Design Process: Help students understand the problem, choose the right theme, and develop a solution using structured thinking like Design Thinking and Engineering practices.
  • Encourage Consistent Progress: Motivate the team to follow timelines, complete each task stage-wise, and stay aligned with the competition deliverables.
  • Review and Validate Work: Offer feedback on their CAD designs, pitch videos, research approach, and reports before submission.
  • Promote Ethical Participation: Ensure that the team’s work is original and adheres to academic and professional ethics.
  • Act as a Point of Contact: Be the main liaison between the student team and the AAKRUTI organizing team if required.
  • Encourage Presentation Readiness: Prepare the team for effective communication, especially if shortlisted for finale rounds or evaluations.

Your mentorship makes a real impact not just on the project outcomes, but on shaping future innovators and design leaders.
