📢 Please follow the given steps to install and Activate the SOLIDWORKS Desktop.
| 📢 Before you proceed please note: You cannot install and run SOLIDWORKS Connected 2021 on a machine that also has SOLIDWORKS 2021 or the 3DEXPERIENCE Connector for SOLIDWORKS installed. However, you can install and run SOLIDWORKS Connected if you have SOLIDWORKS 2020 or an earlier version of SOLIDWORKS on your machine. Your platform administrator can help you resolve any concerns. |
How to Install SOLIDWORKS Desktop
1. Fill up the community download form.
Uninstall any previous versions of SOLIDWORKS. Start>Settings>Apps>Uninstall.
Go to www.solidworks.com/support/community-download fill in the community download form. (www.solidworks.com/sek)
Note:
Enter Serial Number, click yes and proceed. Always check online for latest install documentation.
Enter the current year for competition.
2. Run the downloaded SolidworksSetup.exe.
3. Select the “Install On this Computer” option and click next.
4. Input serial code in the 3D Design section and click next.
Note:
1. Leave other sections blank. Installation Manager will run system requirement check and if anything missing program will notify.
2. After system check installer will take you to the summary page to display all the products you will be installing
5. Accept terms and conditions and click Install Now.
6. Click Finish.
SOLIDWORKS is now installed on your computer.
When you launch it, you will be asked to activate your license. You can either activate your license after the 30-day trial or activate your license straight away.

How to Activate SOLIDWORKS desktop.
1. Launch SOLIDWORKS.
2. Select the “I want to activate my SOLIDWORKS product now” option.
3. Select the “Automatically over the Internet” option.
4. Enter your Email-Id and click next.
5. Click on a finish to exit activation.
