Hi everyone,
I'm working on a schematic in SOLIDWORKS Electrical 2023 and I'd like to achieve a visual grouping effect like the image attached below.
As you can see in the image, multiple components (noise filter, AC/DC power supply, control PCB, and a contactor) are enclosed within a single blue rectangular boundary, with a module label "HX460CAA モジュール" at the top-left corner. This represents the components as one functional unit visually.
I understand that:
- The Black Box feature is for creating new symbols on the fly, not for encapsulating already-placed symbols
- Macros are for copy/paste reuse, not visual grouping
My question is: Is there any native way in SOLIDWORKS Electrical 2023 to draw a labeled rectangular boundary around multiple already-placed symbols (like the blue box in the image), while keeping all existing wiring and component data intact?
If this is not natively supported, what is the recommended workaround?
