I am using Solidworks 2025, SP5.0
I have had an unusual issue that pops up where the "Unsuppress" button is no longer present on suppressed parts/sub-assemblies in the design tree. The icon disappears along with several others including the "configure component" option in the menu when right clicking. When I notice this happens, it applies to any part that I suppress, so I know it is not to do with the assembly trying to look in the wrong place for a missing part.
Another unusual aspect is that if it was in a folder, I could unsuppress the folder and that would work. Additionally, if it was not suppressed in a different configuration and I switched to that one it shows up just fine and can use the "Configure Component" command to then unsuppress it and go back again.
This is a large assembly with 2217 unsuppressed components in a drawing configuration with reference assemblies and 161 unsuppressed components in a simplified configuration for the system by itself. I have primarily noticed this issue occurring when I am editing the exploded views in the simplified configuration. Another symptom is that I can no longer set specific line weights/colors in the drawing (grey for the reference assemblies, black for system), when I could do this without any issue before.
Doing force rebuilds (Ctrl+shift+q, Ctrl+q) does not resolve the issue, nor does just closing all windows and reopening the assembly without restarting the program. If I open a new assembly that has zero shared parts it still has the same issue in the new assembly.
Restarting Solidworks does resolve the issue, but with how complex my assemblies are restarting every time I encounter this eats into my time having to save everything I'm working on, closing the program and waiting for everything to reload, especially with it happening at least once an hour.
